In part one of our Intern profiles we introduce Michigan native, Jon Brooks.

Hometown: Ann Arbor, MI
College and major/degree(s): Michigan State University- BA in Marketing.
Likes: Peanut Butter and Jelly, Soccer, Baseball, Free-time and Naps.
Dislikes: Heights, Bees and boring people.
What’s playing in your iPod?: The Cool Kids and Kings of Leon
What’s on TV: Family Guys, Two and a Half Men, East Bound and Down.
Hobbies: Playing soccer, Trying to Golf, Video Games and Working out.

Favorite Baseball Team: Tigers, Cubs, and I guess the Cardinals.

Favorite Baseball Player of all-time: Brandon Inge and Mariano Rivera

Favorite Sports Movie of all-time: Mean Machine, Green Street Hooligans.

Best sports moment as a fan or a player: Watching the MSU Spartans make run after run to the Final Four and Magglio Ordonez’s Game 4 ALCS walk off home run to complete a sweep of Oakland in 2006.

Thing you like most about sports: Passion and pride

Why do you want to work in sports?: I have always enjoyed being a fan of sports and love coming to the ballpark everyday. To me, it doesn’t feel like a job.

What does your specific internship entail?: Managing the Kids Club, Overseeing the promotional staff, etc.

Dream job: Director of Marketing, then ultimately teach sports marketing in college.
